So this is another end of another blog hosting site and on to the next.......

I had 1/4 of the worst lunch ever. I'm usually someone with a very open mind when it comes to eating food and I'll try anything once (almost) and if I have some sort of adverse reaction to it. I'll stop eating it. So...this 'thing' looked ok. It resembled a nice chicken, lettuce, cheese, tomato sandwich. I took a bite and it was just..I don't know...not really working. The whole sandwich didn't really work harmoniously and I'm not sure why. They are indeed basic ingredients and I haven't gone out on a limb with any extra condiments. So.
My conclusion thus far.
Where I work = Redfern = complete and utter ghetto.

The other day I decided to get a smoked salmon, rocket, caper, cream cheese sandwich on brown bread. The sandwich was toasted and the thickness ended up being thinner than my desk diary. This sandwich cost me $8.

So.... I'm currently quietly fuming over exuberant prices they charge for marginally decent food here.

I'm going to go and eat some tomato now.

"Australia will need 75,000 extra scientists in the next six years to build biotechnology and nanotechnology businesses and other knowledge-based industries if the country's international competitiveness is to be maintained, according to a recent estimate."

from the Sydney Morning Herald

Seeing this make the news in 2004 really gives me the shits.... It's been happening for a long time.

Fucking Stupid.

Been informed (thanks Aaron) that a 'Yoshi-Noya' has opened up on Oxford St next to Footlocker. For those that don't know what/who is 'Yoshi-Noya'. It's a fast food-esque place that sells cheap ass Japanese don-type meals. There are a tonne of them in Singapore and quite a few in Tokyo...good when you're broke...I wonder what the pricing and quality of the meals will be here....

So for the past week I have been working on a G5 with 256mb RAM and it was pretty wak. Now I've just been upgraded to 1GB of RAM and my home away from home is pretty much complete. (All I need is a great selection of herbal teas from T2 within an arms stretch to the left of me)
After discussion and recommendation from Giv. I've decided to give Adium X a go. I've seen it many times and have heard about it but could never use it before. It's a multi-IM client for mac OS X. It's quite cool. I just have to get used to the buttons. It's cool because I can talk to my friends on yahoo as well as ICQ at the same time Just like Trillian at home....

I'm not so grumpy today

It's been a while since I've been an insomniac....
